Fall is in the air, and it’s the perfect time to get out and enjoy the changing leaves, harvest festivities, and all things pumpkin with your furry best friend by your side. Many farms and fall events in Maryland welcome canine companions, making for pawsome family outings your dog will love too. We’ve rounded up some of the top dog-friendly pumpkin patches, corn mazes, and fall festivals happening this season so you and your pup can make cozy autumn memories together.
Central Maryland Dog-Friendly Fall Fun
Braglio Farms Halloween
Braglio Farms is hosting a spooktacular Halloween celebration every weekend in October! Enjoy a family-friendly Halloween Trail with playful frights, as well as a pumpkin patch, hay rides, farm animals, a log playground, cozy campfires, and more. Your leashed dog is welcome to join in the fun, and don’t miss their Ales & Tails event on October 12, 2025 for some extra dog-friendly activities for your pup to enjoy.

Cornfusion at Showvaker’s Quality Evergreens
Cornfusion features numerous super fun fall festival activities, including a corn maze, pedal race cars, apple blasters, slides, a pumpkin patch, hayride, barnyard zoo, nature trail walk, straw bale obstacle course, corn crib, duck derby, and more! Leashed dogs are allowed on the farm, however they may not be taken into the maze.

Homestead Gardens Fall Festival Weekends
Dogs are welcome at Homestead Garden’s Fall Festival (and in their store every day of the year). Enjoy seeing the barnyard animals, taking hay rides, picking out pumpkins and connecting with the community. Fall Fest attractions include live music, tractor rides, pillow pad, hayrides, antique farm equipment and tractors on display, baby goats, miniature cows and donkeys, a playground, hay maze, game tent, face painting, and pony rides. Of special note to pet lovers, there will be a Pet Costume Contest held on Saturday, October 26 at 2 pm.

Maryland Corn Maze Bring Your Dog Weekend
The Maryland Corn Maze has been named one of the 25 best corn mazes in the US, and Bring Your Dog Weekend is the ONLY time dogs are allowed, so mark your calendars! For 2025… GET LOST IN THE LAND OF OZ… IT’S GOING TO BE WICKED! Make sure to bring your phone. As you travel through the maze trying to find your way… there will be posts to find and some fun along with each one as you scan the QR codes. In addition to the maze, there are loads of other fun activities in the farm yard, including a zip line, bounce pad, petting zoo, hayrides, slingshots, giant Lincoln logs, pedal tractors, and more!

Fall on the Farm at Local Homestead Products
Local Homestead Products is a great place to find the perfect decoration or carving pumpkin! Their pumpkin patch is more than 10 acres with over 15 pumpkin varieties for you to choose from. Enjoy a covered wagon ride to the field or simply choose from ones already picked at the market! Dogs are welcome at the pumpkin patch, but must remain on a leash at all times. They have a corn maze as well, but dogs are only allowed in the maze during their “Dog Days in the Maze” weekend, September 26 – 28, 2025. In addition to the pumpkin patch, corn maze, farm market, and greenhouse, Local Homestead also has a 5 acre playground that is completely free!

PumpkinFest at Falling Branch Brewery
Falling Branch Brewery is a 100-acre, fourth-generation family owned and operated farm and brewery. You can enjoy all of your favorite fall activities at their annual PumpkinFest, including a self-pick pumpkin patch, corn maze, hay rides, face painting, building your own scarecrow, pumpkin beer and other seasonal brews, seltzer slushies, ciders and sour ales. There will also be delicious food trucks options, live music, and local craft vendors. Dogs are allowed during PumpkinFest but must remain on a leash at all times!

Sharp’s at Waterford Farm Fall Weekend Events
Sharp’s at Waterford Farm prides itself on being a simple, authentic, laid-back and dog friendly farm! Enjoy a hayride to the pumpkin patch to pick your own pumpkin, feed the animals, get a slice of pizza and a beer from the food and breweries on site, and visit their country store for preserves, local honey, crafts, fall decorations, and more. Dogs are allowed everywhere on the farm—on hayrides, in the store, anywhere you go! Every weekend throughout the fall season, they host a variety of fun family events that change every week. Dog lovers will want to mark your calendar’s for Sharp’s “9th Annual Dog Days” weekend, November 1–2, where they’ll have dog related vendors, dog rescues, and adoptable dogs at the farm.

Montpelier Farms Fall Festival
Montpelier Farms’ Fall Festival activities include a 7-acre interactive corn maze, a smaller Spookley the Square Pumpkin Corn maze for little kids, hayrides, a pumpkin patch, feeding the animals, giant slides, pedal karts, playgrounds, a rope maze, pumpkin bowling, duck races, pumpkin chunkin’, and more! Friendly, leashed dogs are welcome at the festival, including inside the corn maze and on the hayride.

Queen Anne Farm offers a charming pumpkin patch experience with a variety of activities for the whole family! Southern Maryland Dog-Friendly Fall Fun
Horsmon Farm Harvest Festival
Leashed, behaved dogs are welcome at Horsmon Farm’s Harvest Festival. Attractions include a hayride, maze, farm animals, pumpkin patch, playground, corn pit, playground, dirt diggers, hop balls, rubber duck races and giant rat race. Enjoy a walk with your dog on ½ mile long farm trail. It goes by both of the farm’s ponds, through the woods and crosses two streams, and along the trail are signs telling the story of how Maryland Farmers are helping to save the bay.

Councell Farms Field of Fun
Councell Farms is fun for humans and pups alike! Friendly dogs are welcome, on leash. Their Field of Fun has over 25 farm-related activities to choose from, including a pumpkin patch, corn maze, jumping pillow, combine slide, Tiny Sprouts Village, farm obstacle course, corn box, duck races, trike track, and straw maze. Check out their farm market for delicious local apples, fresh apple cider, a large selection of jams and jellies, and fall decorations, and enjoy some locally-made Vanderwende’s Ice Cream at their ice cream creamery.

Tips for Bringing Your Dog To Farms and Fall Activities
- Ensure your dog is well-socialized and comfortable in busy, stimulating environments. Avoid overcrowded areas if your dog seems stressed.
- Keep your dog on leash at all times. For the safety of other guests, staff, the farm animals, and your dog, all of these farms welcome leashed dogs only.
- Bring water and take breaks if it’s warm out. Dehydration and heat stroke can happen quickly for pups exerting energy all day.
- Be aware of your dog and clean up any waste immediately. Bag it and dispose properly in covered bins.
- Have visible, up-to-date Identification on your dog in case they get separated from you in the crowds.
- Be courteous of other guests who may be fearful of dogs. Maintain at least a 6-foot distance from others unless they’ve asked or chosen to be closer to your dog.
- Most of all, remember it’s a fun family outing! Pups love exploring new smells and sights. Make some great family memories and enjoy this time together with your dog!
