Clemsonville Christmas Tree Farm

10120 Clemsonville Rd, Union Bridge, MD

Clemsonville Christmas Tree Farm offers 200 acres of Fir, Pine, Spruce, and Cedar trees to cut or dig. They’re also notably the Guinness record holder for the “World’s Largest Wreath.” In their Christmas barn you’ll find wreaths, stands, and more, as well as free punch and cookies. You can also enjoy their nature trails, picnic areas, and fire pit. Pets on leash are welcome.

Dreamland Christmas Tree Farm

2700 Sumantown Rd, Middletown, MD

Dreamland was founded in 2004 by the Riesett family out of a desire to share their favorite family tradition, choosing and cutting a Christmas tree. Their friendly staff will always help haul your tree, shake it, bale it, and even tie it to your car…all while you relax, eat, enjoy hot cocoa, or shop in their cozy warm barn by the fire. There’s also a playground for the kids. Pets are allowed on the farm as long as they are leashed and cleaned up after.

Naughty Pine Nursery

18200 Elmer School Rd, Dickerson, MD

Naughty Pine Nursery is a family owned and operated business that has been providing quality Christmas trees, firewood, and landscape plants since 1992. They grow a large selection of Douglas Fir, Blue Spruce, and Norway Spruce, and also have a limited supply of Fraser Fir pre-cuts available for purchase. Naughty Pine Nursery is dog friendly as long as the dogs remain on a leash at all times.

Prince George’s County

Linden Hill Christmas Tree Farm

4102 Old Crain Hwy, Upper Marlboro, MD

Linden Hill Christmas Tree Farm has White Pines, Norway Spruces, Douglas Firs, Blue Spruce, and Lollipop and Charlie Brown Trees available for cutting in the fields, as well as fabulous, fresh, pre-cut Fraser Firs. Pets are allowed provided you hold onto the leash at all times.

Davidson Christmas Tree Farm

1101 Emory Church Rd, Upperco, MD

Davidson Christmas Tree Farm offers an excellent assortment of trees for you to choose from. From Fraser fir to Blue Spruce to Balsam Fir, come select the perfect type of tree and the perfect height. Cut your own Christmas tree, and make a day of it with their snack bar and gift shop. With over 60 acres of trees to choose from, you are definitely going to find the perfect tree for you or your family. Well-behaved, leashed pets are welcome at the farm.

Gunpowder Tree Farm

12025 Philadelphia Rd, Kingsville, MD

Gunpowder Tree Farm is a family owned and operated Christmas tree farm. They have beautiful precut trees and wreaths, as well as a limited supply of cut your own Douglas Firs. They also have fun activities for the kids, including a playground, letters to Santa, kids crafts, and visits from Santa Claus and Jingles the Elf. You’re welcome to bring your dog to the farm with you to pick out your tree, as long as they are on a leash.

Prettyboy Run Farms

2105 Mount Carmel Rd, Parkton, MD

Prettyboy Run Farms is a small, family-run tree farm working hard to continue the local choose-and-cut Christmas tree farm tradition. Their choose-and-cut fields have Fraser Fir, Balsam Fir, Canaan Fir, Concolor Fir, Colorado Blue Spruce, Norway Spruce, White Pine, and White Cedar. They grow their trees without herbicides, pesticides, or fungicides to help you have the most natural tree possible. They also shear their trees a bit more loosely than most, giving them a more natural, no-two-are-alike appearance. Dogs that are on leash and picked up after are welcome.

A Snowball’s Chance Tree Farm

10760 Marriottsville Rd, Randallstown, MD

A Snowball’s Chance Tree Farm is a family owned and operated choose & cut tree farm conveniently located in Baltimore County near the Howard and Carroll County lines. For 2023, they are returning to their original tree fields, the ones where the dream began back in 2005! They are open for two weekends only: Dec 2nd & 3rd and Dec 9th & 10th. So bundle up the kids, put the dog on a leash and bring your handsaw (or borrow theirs), and set out on the adventure to find your perfect Christmas tree.

Carroll County

Hirt Tree Farm

Hirt Tree Farm is a small, family-owned choose and cut Christmas tree farm. Now in their fourth generation of Hirt’s, they put a lot of love and care into each and every one of their trees. They welcome your family to join theirs in building ever lasting traditions of cutting down your perfect Christmas tree. They have Douglas Fir, Canaan Fir, Norway Spruce, Blue Spruce, White Pine, and a few Concolor Firs at the Farm. And you’re welcome to bring your dog, but they must be on a leash at all times.

Otterdale View Christmas Tree Farm

4364 Middleburg Rd, Union Bridge, MD

Find your perfect Christmas Tree at Otterdale View Farm—enjoy the timeless tradition of going out to the field with your family to make memories finding a truly unique tree! Named for the farm’s view of the adjacent Otterdale Mill Road and historic Otterdale Mill, Otterdale View Farm is a 3rd generation family farm. All trees are “Choose & Cut”—no pre-cut trees available. After cutting your tree, warm up inside the craft shop. Here you can browse the festive holiday decorations while sipping complimentary warm apple cider, entertain the children with the toy train above, and pay for your tree! The shop also sells tree accessories, such as tree stands, tree preservative, removal bags, and watering elves. The farm wants finding a tree to be an experience for the whole family, including the pets. Pets, however, must be leashed and owners must clean up after them.

Showvaker’s Quality Evergreens Tree Farm

2020 Garrett Rd, Manchester, MD

No matter what type of tree you are looking for, Showvaker’s Quality Evergreens has what you need! For years, they’ve been providing families with the finest fresh cut Christmas trees. Choose from their fresh pre-cut trees, or grab a saw and wagon and head out to their field and cut your own. Then stop in their Christmas shop and enjoy a complimentary hot cocoa or warm cider while searching for that perfect gift, or grab a bite from the Wagon Wheel Café concession stand. Pets are permitted provided they are leashed at all times, including those small enough to be carried.

Wolfe’s Pine Valley Farms

1150 Fannie Dorsey Rd, Sykesville, MD

Wolfe’s Pine Valley Farms, LLC is a 110 acre Choose and Cut Christmas Tree farm. Originally established as Pine Valley Farms in 1977 by Roger and Jane Wolfe, the farm is now owned and managed by second and third generation family members. The farm is very well groomed and provides customers with high quality Fraser and Douglas Fir as well as other fir and spruces. The family strives to provide the “perfect” tree in a family friendly atmosphere. In their Christmas barn, you can find fresh wreaths for your door and other items perfect for around your home, and enjoy some hot chocolate or hot cider to warm you up inside, as well as, packaged snacks and drinks. Dogs are allowed on the farm as long as they are on a leash at all times and under your control.

Harford County

Winterfarm

4336 St Clair Bridge Rd, Jarrettsville, MD

Winterfarm is a Choose-and-Cut Christmas Tree farm consisting of over 54 acres of gently rolling topography along St Clair Bridge Road and has been owned by the family for over 120 years. The farm has won numerous awards for Fraser Firs during the twenty-plus years since the variety was added as a crop, and has been listed in County Living Magazine as one of the 32 Best Christmas Tree Farms in America. While you’re there, enjoy their new North Pole train display. The bonfire will be going all day (weather permitting) for everyone to enjoy while having, s’mores, hot chocolate, hot dogs, or their famous cupcakes. They allow well-behaved, leashed dogs, and a dog watering bowl is available behind the sales building.

Howard County

Greenway Farms Christmas Trees

15097 Frederick Rd, Woodbine, MD

Greenway Farms is a 20-acre, 15,000-tree farm. They offer cut-your-own Canaan Fir and White Pine as well as fresh-cut Fraser Fir and Canaan Fir. They also grow and sell poinsettias, and have wreaths, local honey, and hot drinks for sale. This family-run business invites you to make plants and trees part of your own family tradition! Leashed dogs are welcome.

TLV Tree Farm

15155 Triadelphia Mill Rd, Glenelg, MD

TLV Tree Farm offers several different varieties of live trees for you to choose from, including Douglas Fir, White Pine, Blue Spruce, Cannan Fir, Balsam Fir, and Fraser Fir. They also have a large selection of fresh cut Fraser Fir trees that they bring in from the mountains of North Carolina. In their Santa’s Workshop you can find handmade wreaths, crafts, ornaments, and Christmas tree stands, and Santa comes and visits the farm on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Homemade snacks, hot dogs, and warm drinks are also available for purchase in the warming hut. The farm is dog-friendly as long as they are on a leash.

Caroline County

Cawley Family Farm

24320 Willow Pond Rd, Denton, MD

Cawley Family Farm has 12 acres of trees that consist of Douglas Fir, White Pine, Concolor Fir, Canaan Fir, Colorado Blue Spruce, and Norway Spruce. Also available to purchase are pre-cut Fraser, Concolor, and Canaan Firs along with hand-made wreaths made fresh from the farm. Cawley Family Farm is based on the slogan “Experience a Family Tradition” because that was one of the Cawley Christmas traditions when the children were growing up. Hopefully each family and individual that comes to the farm will continue their family tradition or start a new one. Pets are allowed on leash.

Cecil County

Pine Valley Christmas Trees

342 Blake Rd, Elkton, MD

Pine Valley Christmas Trees is run by the Underwood family. The farm opens every year for tagging the first Saturday in November and tagging season ends at Thanksgiving. They also have wreaths, white pine garlands, greens, and fresh cut Fraser Firs from their farm in North Carolina available starting in late November. Visit their gift shop for a wide selection of unique ornaments and Christmas decorations, as well as local honey, hot chocolate, and hot cider. Leashed dogs are allowed on the farm.

Kent County

Bakers Lane Christmas Trees

8420 Bakers Ln, Chestertown, MD

Bakers Lane Christmas Trees covers 4.5 acres on the 290 acre family farm. Ted and Teri Batchelor, both Kent County natives, have grown these trees over the past 7+ years with a diverse species mix including White Pine, Norway Spruce, and Douglas Fir. As you stroll through, you may also see a few Scotch Pine and Colorado Blue Spruce. Their goal is to provide you and your family with a traditional farm experience as you walk through the planted trees to select your fresh real tree. Leashed pets are welcome.


Tips for Bringing Your Dog to a Christmas Tree Farm

  • Keep your dog on leash and be in control of your dog at all times. For everyone’s safety, all of these farms welcome leashed dogs only.
  • Be careful not to let your dog pee on the Christmas trees. Consider taking your dog on a short walk to let them relieve themselves before heading out into the field.
  • Bring poop bags, clean up any dog waste immediately, and dispose of it properly in trash cans.
  • Have visible, up-to-date Identification on your dog, just in case they get separated from you.
  • Most of all, make some great family memories and enjoy this fun holiday tradition with your dog!
